Electricity Protocols
Safe environment and preventive measures:
- Do not allow employees who are among those at higher risk of infection as per Appendix A to come to work and oblige them to work remotely from home.
- Apply the policy of “flexible working hours” to all employees (grace period at the beginning/end of workdays in the main centers and for non-critical work to reduce the presence of employees at the same time and thus reduce congestion in parking lots, elevators and entrances).
- Enable remote work (exploit all capabilities in the technical field and digital transformation so that employees can do their work to the fullest, including, for example: access to the internal network, e-mail accounts on mobile phones provision of laptops, increasing the capacities of internet circuits).
- Limit the number of attendees to meetings as much as possible and on virtual online meetings by using programs specialized for working remotely.
- Ensure disinfection of all facilities, equipment, and vehicles periodically.
- Suspend training courses, organizing conferences and participating in events, and replacing them with remote training.
- Organize the entry of customers to the subscriber services offices, apply visual screening and temperature check before their entrance, and organize the seating areas inside the offices, while maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters. Also, ensure the provision of hand sanitizers, and requiring them to sanitize their hands, wear medical or cloth masks or anything that covers the mouth and nose, and put glass barriers for protection between the employee and the customer, if possible.
- Maintain the recommended physical distancing of at least 1.5 meters between employees, offices and inside elevators, by placing indicative floor signs, and educating employees and their families of the importance of physical distancing to prevent the risk of infection with Covid-19.
- Allow opening of gathering places (restaurants, company clubs, chapels).
- Ensure all doors inside the facility’s buildings are open to avoid touching.
- Provide employees with sanitizers and medical or cloth masks or anything that covers the mouth and nose and keep enough stock of them in the warehouses.
- Rely on personal means of transportation and reduce group means of transportation while maintaining the distance in the event that they are used.
Implementation:
- Form a team of occupational health to follow up on infected and suspected cases inside the facility and ensure constant coordination with the Ministry of Health (MOH).
- Temperature check must be taken daily at the entry gates to the sites, and form intervention teams in case an employee or contractor is suspected to be infected in order to take the necessary measures.
- All employees must sign the acknowledgment and pledge document, their commitment to the guidelines and application of precautionary measures and disclosure in the event of infection with the Covid-19 or have been in contact with an infected individual, as well as their commitment to curfew permits and not to misuse them.
- Conduct field visits to the contractor’s labor accommodation and ensure that all precautionary measures are applied and that the contractors adhere to them.
- Carry out a number of hypothetical experiments that simulate the shortage of human cadres due to the Covid-19 pandemic in all its locations in order to check on business continuity in emergency situations and to ensure that emergency plans are activated in each site, and the facility also evaluates these experiences and hypotheses to ensure rapid response and reduce the impact in real cases.
- Raise the level of monitoring of network components and systems at establishments and entities and increase licenses for dual identity verification to cover the high demand for remote work services.
- Issue transport permits for the employees and contractors of the facility that require their work in coordination with the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Interior.
Reporting:
- Ensure that a temperature check is performed, and the competent authorities are informed about any cases whose temperature exceeds [38C] among employees, and that the case is isolated until referring it to the health care facility.
- If a confirmed case is registered among employees, the competent authorities must be informed immediately, and the directives issued by them must be adhered to.
Awareness:
- Place instructional boards at the entrances to raise awareness of the symptoms of infection with Covid-19 and for guidance on what to do when symptoms are present, such as calling the MOH through the number (937).
- Use all the facility’s internal and external channels and platforms to raise awareness of the risks of infection with Covid-19.
- Allocate several channels to communicate with employees to receive their reports, answer their questions and inquiries, and morally support them to confront this pandemic, such as e-mail, call center (444) and the facility’s internal website on the intranet.
