Do not allow new employees who are at higher risk of infection (as per the definition of individuals of higher risk in Appendix A) to come to work and oblige them to work remotely from home.
Allow management to freely plan and determine the percentage of employees that shall come to work as per their need.
Limit the entry of facility employees or individuals that have pre-confirmed appointments to government buildings while allowing delivery companies (parcels, food, etc.) to enter the buildings and floors to complete delivery.
In the event that there are auditors working at the entity, all auditors must adhere to wearing cloth or medical masks or anything that covers the mouth and nose, and only a certain number of individuals should be allowed to enter at the same time according to the allocated space (1 auditor for each 9 square meters). Also, a safe distance among auditors must be ensured.
Urge government entities to adopt and implement an electronic appointment system to schedule auditors’ visits to government agencies.
Commuting to work
Follow the social protocols and the transport sector protocols.
At the workplace
Organizing Eid events and gatherings must be prohibited.
Hugs and shaking hands must be prevented and avoided.
The office spaces must be reorganized to ensure physical distance between employees (1.5 meters) and dividers should be situated whenever possible.
Use separate gates for employees to enter and exit from, if possible.
Measure the temperature of all employees and prevent any employee who has a high temperature (38C or above) from entering the workplace.
Apply the policy of “flexible working hours” to all employees (For example, arrange the workday starting time between 07:30 and 09:30).
Rely on virtual online meetings as much as possible, and in the event of a need for face to face meetings, social distancing among employees must be adhered to (1.5 meters apart).
Allocate and use stairs designated for going down and other stairs designated for going up, if possible.
Use floor stickers to indicate the safe distance that should be left between individuals in queues at entrances and exits.
Clean and disinfect all vital areas, surfaces, and shared tools very well periodically based on a clear schedule.
All employees must wear medical or cloth masks or anything that covers the mouth and nose when entering the workplace, and they must be sure to use them throughout their stay in public areas at the workplace.
Prevent employees from moving around different areas at the office without sanitizing their hands.
Employees should use their personal cups or paper cups for drinks.
Public places
Ensure safe social distance through the use of floor stickers and dividers.
Restaurant protocols must be applied in regards to group dining and eating in government facilities.
Legalization of childcare centers and nurseries.
It is permitted to pray on the same floor and on a personal rug and wear medical or cloth masks or anything that covers the mouth and nose during congregational prayers, taking into account keeping a safe distance between worshipers and referring to the Mosques protocols..
Allocate an isolation room in the building.
Disinfect public areas after each use.
Monitoring and Reporting
Report the competent authorities if any of the employees has a high temperature and refer the case to one of the health care facilities.
If a confirmed case is registered among the employees, contact 937 and details of the isolation protocols of those who were in contact with the case shall be handled by the MOH.
Awareness and Implementation of Regulations
Educate employees on the use of self-assessment of health risks in relation to the symptoms of Coronavirus through [Mawid App] provided by MOH.
Encourage employees to use the stairs and reduce the use of elevators, whenever possible.
Hang up clear signs at the entrances and public places explaining the preventive protocols for employees, including protocols for standing and queuing areas.
Dedicate a certain channel to receive opinions and feedback from employees to report any breach of protocols or to put forward new ideas, such as: a designated e-mail, social media account, or a phone number.
